Ann Brown, director of Director of Community Outreach and Volunteerism, has been named the president of the CIAA Cheerleading Coaches Association. She has been involved in cheerleading for more than 25 years at Saint Augustine’s University. Brown was instrumental with the CIAA Cheerleading Association by serving as vice president for many years and mentoring new coaches.

She feels that cheerleaders are great athletes and very disciplined in their studies.

“They [cheerleaders] learn teamwork as well as respect for their coaches and their teammates,” Brown said.
